BOOK RELEASE: “Unequal Cities: Structural Racism and the Death Gap in America’s Largest Cities”

Don’t miss the “Unequal Cities: Structural Racism and the Death Gap in America’s Largest Cities” book release event taking place September 29th at 6 pm (CST) via Zoom!

Co-editors Maureen Benjamins, PhD, a Senior Research Fellow at the Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI), and Fernando De Maio, PhD of the American Medical Association and DePaul University, will host this virtual celebration to share and discuss their research on the racial death gap in the 30 largest US cities.

The event will feature a panel discussion of key stakeholders talking about the book’s findings, the power of local equity data, and where to go from here. Guest speakers will offer insight from community, healthcare, research, and government perspectives.
