CALL FOR APPLICANTS: Diverse Executives Leading in Public Health (DELPH)

Enhancing and Strengthening Public Health
ASTHO and the Satcher Health Leadership Institute (SHLI) at Morehouse School of Medicine, with support from CDC, invite you to apply to the Diverse Executives Leading in Public Health (DELPH) program. This new program will increase and strengthen participants’ visibility and exposure in public health systems, access to key networks, and leadership development opportunities.
Program participants will be selected from experienced public health professionals who self-identify from an underrepresented group, including people of color, people with disabilities, women, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
This is a 12-month program with three in-person events.
Washington Week - Washington, D.C. (February 2022)
Trip to CDC - Atlanta, Georgia (July 2022)
Graduation - Washington, D.C. (September 2022)
Participation in these events is a requirement for participation in the program. The program will continue to monitor and adhere to travel guidance from CDC regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Goals of the Program
The DELPH program will provide opportunities for participants to explore individual leadership identity and actions to positively influence the work and culture of organizations through communication, leadership, and goal setting.
The program will be customized for each participant to support their individual leadership goals, including executive coaching. The DELPH program is structured to enhance and strengthen each participant’s:
Visibility and exposure in governmental public health.
Access to key networks and leadership opportunities.
Personal leadership identity.
Personal leadership development plan.
Connections to a peer support network.
