HELEN to convene a series of roundtable discussions

HELEN, in collaboration with the Kennedy Forum and federal policymakers, is convening a series of roundtable discussions to explore the Intersection of Health Equity, Integrated Care, and Quality Improvement, and the associated issues facing regions throughout the country.

The intent is to bring together experts representing various racial & ethnic groups, community based organizations, health professionals, and providers in order to discuss the challenges each face in their efforts to expand access and improve quality of care. By convening diverse stakeholders and community leaders in one room, the roundtables will explore current policy issues, regional differences, and seek to find areas of common ground. The findings will be compiled into a comprehensive report and recommendations, which will be formally presented to policymakers in Washington, DC before the end of the year.

These roundtables will be held in the following cities nationwide:
·         Cleveland, Ohio – August 31, 2015
·         Newark, New Jersey – September 3, 2015
·         Atlanta, Georgia – September 9, 2015
·         Los Angeles, California – September 22, 2015

If you believe you or someone you know should be a roundtable participant, please send a nominating email to Dan Walls at [email protected]. Capacity is limited so not all nominees will be accepted to participate. Nomination emails should include the nominee’s name, contact information, areas of expertise and a professional bio.

Sincerely,
